Currently, Meijer is looking for a SAP Business Process Expert (Finance). 
The Business Process Expert is responsible for planning, managing and executing the activities associated with detailed analysis and redesign of business processes. The activities are primarily the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities that are enabled by SAP functionality and related third-party applications. 
 
The Business Process Expert should provide strong leadership and support in the areas of Continuous Process Improvement, Process & Systems Integrity, and Project Management.  The Business Process Expert should make use of an existing network of other COE team members in the execution of his/her duties and responsibilities.
 
Key Deliverables:
  • Acts as project liaison within the user community for the continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with SAP Resources, Business teams and QA team for different initiatives.
  • Strives to continuously enhance the business processes by maximizing the use of SAP
  • Identifies and logs business improvement opportunities in consultation with the respective Business team members.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation for all activities pertaining to process improvement and change management
  • Identifies functional gaps and determines resolutions or work-arounds
  • Determines “to-be” requirements based on experience and input from user community
  • Manages the integration aspects of the business requirements and proposed solutions
  • Engage with Managed Services team to ensure appropriate resolution of incidents raised by business teams
  • Assists with User acceptance testing
  • May need to perform minor SAP configuration as needed.
  • Assess SAP Solutions and check feasibility with business
  • Review and provide Impact Assessment for all the upgrades and enhancements
  • Ambassador for SAP with respective business community.
  • Keeping management apprised of developments through clear and timely communication
  • Participate in roadmap discussions and product assessments

 

     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant business discipline is required
  • SAP implementation experience
  • Experience with SAP Finance or Procure to Pay business processes
  • 0-2+ years Procurement experience
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance or Procure to Pay processes
  • Understand overall SAP landscape, change management and other SAP methodologies
  • Specialized knowledge of the Meijer’s business processes
  • The ability to work in both a leadership and hands-on capacity
  • The ability to communicate big picture view of the project vision and goals to both SAP and Business teams
